The Minister of Environmental Affairs has given notice of her intention to publish regulations under section 1(b)(iv) and sections 69(1)(dd) and (ee) read with section 73 of the National Environmental Management: Waste Act 59 of 2008.
The purpose of these Regulations is to prescribe the manner in which, inter alia, a person may apply for the exclusion of a waste stream or a portion of a waste stream from the definition of waste as contained in the Act.
Members of the public have been invited to submit written representations or objections to the Minister within 30 days of publication of this notice (i.e. on or before 15 December 2014).
